Will "mixing" be possible?
I was just wondering that if you merge your prophecies and factions accounts, will you be able to "mix" tyrian and canthan hairstyles, faces etc.?
(for example: can you create a monk with tyrian face and canthan hairstyle?)

I can say with absolutely no authority, but with absolute certainty; No.
If you played last weekend, you've seen the Factions character creation interface. You already know how it works.

That doesn't mean anything. The preview event by no means showed everything, and besides, it acted like you were playing off of factions only, not factions and prophecies, at least as far as I could see.

If they do decide to make the fan happy, they will at least do a hair barber or something.

i dont think you'll be able to mix hair and face styles from tyria and cantha
i remember reading something somewhere that when you create a character you choose whether to start in tyria or cantha so you'll probably only be able to choose the styles from the region you choose
and hair barbers remind me of runescape icky

Oh, I was so much hoping that would be possible
Anet said in their Factions FAQ that
Quote:
You can create PvP characters using a mix of professions, skills, and items from both campaigns
|
Quote:
New faces, hair styles, and armor sets for both Factions and the core professions
|
and that
Quote:
two new character slots with access to both sets of content
|
Since they promise a full access to all content, I just thought it would make sense :/

Yes, Tyrians and Canthans are like different races, from what I understand, so you can't have characteristics of both...

I was wondering the same Foxiel, and I don't think we will be able to mix and match character traits.. I hope I'm wrong though.

As far as i know you will choose your "birthplace" and that will define your looks (i.e. Canthan or Tyrian)

...honestly I really hope they do. I love playing the male mesmer, but the male mesmers look like absolute CRAP when it comes to facial and hair set options in factions...every single face, and hair style...ugly as hell.

gg Canthan male necros. I am sincerely hoping there will be just a few more face/hair options for each profession once the full version comes out, because there was some crazy trash going down during the last preview. Someone described it as "way too Tokyopop", and I think this is pretty true. Luckily the Ritualist, at least the female, has a more elegant appearance so I can have a nice looking char. I'll have to find something I can bear to look at before I decide what my second slot is used for. The only other thing I can think of that I like is the female ranger, but I've already got a ranger from Tyria and he's gonna look leet once I get the Factions armor.
